Your support through our Vital Needs Program helps us maintain a safe haven for our children. Every contribution goes directly towards securing our home and ensuring essential services remain uninterrupted.

The Monthly rent is 1,900,000 Ugandan Schillings ... about : 720 CAD | 520 USD | 480 Euros Monthly
The objective of this Funding program is to raise about:

50% of the rent for next 12 months

This represents about: 4,500 CAD | 3,250 USD | 3,000 Euros for the full year.
This will provide us a bit of breathing room financially and allow us to focus on more activities to reach Autonomy faster.

We are partnering with WeHappers and their HIT program for this Fund raising program as well.
There are several benefits to this HIT program both for us and our contributors

because of our Banking system, It is impossible for us to raise funds directly from Uganda. WeHappers serves as a trusted partner for us. They collect the funds and send us 100% of the money raised.

Through its HIT Program WeHappers will certify how the money is used and the impact it has on our beneficiaries.

Through WeHappers HIT program we will also be able to measure the impact each contribution will have on the program, and redistribute the HITs generated accordingly.

This is a Win-Win situation for all Parties. Ourselves (WMF), Our beneficiaries (the children) and all contributors to this program
Understanding WeHappers HIT Program
What are the HITs?
Happiness Impact Tokens (HITs) are virtual units that measure the positive impact of donations and contributions on the Happiness Index of the beneficiaries of a program. (In our case WMF Vital Needs program).
What is a HIT Program?
A HIT Program is a Program created by Organizations (in our case WMF) that have the objective of improving the well-being of their beneficiaries whose impact is independently measured and certified by Wehappers organization through their Happiness Index.
What is the measured Impact of "WMF Vital needs" program?
The program helps WMF secure the rent of their home for next 12 months. As analyzed [here] the impact of providing a home to the chidren is 2,740 HITs for every child in their care.
They presently have 36 children in their care, so the potential of this program for 1 year is: 98,640 HITs.
Since WMF is asking for 50% of the rent for the period, the amount of HITs available for redistribution to the contibutors is 49,320 HITs.
How is Impact Measured and certified?
Beneficiaries and local community members provide feedback to WeHappers
The organization agrees to be fully transparent and to provide detailed receipts of the expenses
Regular check-ins ensure donations are used effectively
Who are the contributors to the program?
The donors who will contribute financially to the fund raising
The "Tech stars" who are contributing pro-bono to building the Technology WMF need (This web-site and the fund raising campaign
The beneficiaries and members of WMF local community who will participate in certifying the program with WeHappers.
How are generated HITs redistributed?
HITs are resdistributed as follow:
-> 70% for the donors . Hence a pool of 34,424 HITs
-> 15% for the "Tech stars" . Hence a pool of 7,398 HITs
-> 15% for the "persons contributing to the certification" . 7,398 HITs as well
What does this mean for Donors?
HITs redistribution is directly proportional to your contribution to improving lives of the children at WMF
Therefore, Each Donor will receive 767 HITs in exchange for each block of 100 CAD donation ( 72 USD | 66 Euros )
The future of HITs
While HITs aren't currently exchangeable, we think it can become at some point a digital currency... [The currency of Happiness] and we're developing a system where they may be used for goods and services in the future.
